This is a classic vintage 60s/70s tan, supersoft buckskin suede fringed Canadian jacket which is quite unusual, in that it appears to be a memory 'leaving souvenir' with signatures of friends written over it and the name Lavalee scratched into the back. It features fringing aplenty in dramatic V shapes over the front, back and shoulders, with a straight fringing at the bottom, some of which looks as if it's been cut shorter. As you can see from the images the lengths are uneven and some of the fringing has missing patches or pieces kntted together.
Overall this jacket is still very much wearable and perfect for festivals and the like, but there are marks from it being a long used outdoor and recreation jacket. It looks like it's seen a lot of fun, especially with all of the names written in biro along the inner edges, as well as the crudely scratched name on the back. Those however, in my opinion, all just add to its unique charm as an historical piece with a story to tell. If you are looking for pristine, this is not the jacket for you. But the leather is so soft and the general structure is great.
